Can you sell AI-generated products on Payhip?
Yes
Yes, as long as they don't copy or infringe anyone's work, Payhip staff say. Payhip's Terms of Use and banned-products list don't mention AI; they ban copyright infringement. Your AI tool's plan still has to allow commercial use.

Quick answers
Is that in Payhip's terms?
No. Payhip's Terms of Use (last updated 19 February 2018) and its banned-products help article don't mention AI. The 'yes' comes from Payhip staff replies on Payhip's own blog, most recently on 13 April 2026.
Which AI tools let you sell what you make?
Check the tool's plan. ChatGPT, Ideogram, Canva AI and Adobe Firefly allow commercial use on their free plans; Suno needs Pro or Premier; AIVA's Free plan is non-commercial.

Do you have to disclose AI on Payhip?
Nothing we found requires it. Etsy and Amazon KDP do, if you also sell there.
Tool by tool
-
OpenAI ChatGPT images (Sora discontinued)
OpenAI's ChatGPT assistant and its image generation.
- Free / Go / Plus / Pro Yes
You own ChatGPT's output, text as well as images, and OpenAI assigns you whatever rights it has in it. Outputs may not be unique, and you can't present output as human-generated when it wasn't. Sora's app and web versions shut down on 26 April 2026 and its API on 24 September 2026.
-
Anthropic Claude
Anthropic's AI assistant for writing, analysis, coding and documents.
- Free / Pro / Max Yes
Anthropic assigns you its rights (if any) in Claude's outputs. Evaluation/trial use is personal and non-commercial.
-
Midjourney
Text-to-image generator that can also animate images into video.
- Basic / Standard Yes
- Pro / Mega Yes
You own what you make on any paid plan, but a company (or its employee) with more than $1M a year in revenue must be on Pro or Mega to own its images. Images are public and remixable unless you use Stealth Mode.
-
Ideogram
AI image platform with apps, an API and its own open model.
- All plans Yes
Ideogram does not claim ownership of your images, assigns you any rights it has, and does not restrict commercial use. You must not remove watermarks.
-
Adobe Firefly
Adobe's AI app for images, video, audio and vectors, with Adobe and partner models.
- Individual plans (Free / Standard / Pro) Yes
- Creative Cloud for teams / enterprise on an Eligible Plan Yes
Adobe treats Firefly output as your content, but you must not strip watermarks or Content Credentials. Adobe's IP indemnity covers only Creative Cloud for teams/enterprise customers on specific plans, and is capped at US$10,000 per output or claim.
-
Canva AI (Magic Media)
AI image tools inside Canva, including the Magic Media text-to-image generator.
- Free / Pro Yes
You own Canva AI output and may use it for any lawful purpose, except output that edits or includes Canva library content, which stays under Canva's content licence.
-
Suno
AI song generator for full tracks with vocals from a text prompt.
- Free / Basic No
- Pro / Premier Yes
Free/Basic: personal and non-commercial only. Pro/Premier: Suno assigns you its rights, and you can use songs commercially if you made and downloaded them while subscribed. Don't strip Suno's watermark or metadata.
-
AIVA
AI music generator for songs in 250+ styles, with editing and MIDI export.
- Free (Non-Commercial License) No
- Standard (Limited Commercial License) Depends
- Pro (Full Copyright) Yes
AIVA's free tier is non-commercial with credit to AIVA, and AIVA keeps the copyright; the Pro plan gives you full copyright to monetise. A middle tier licenses monetisation on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram only.
Platform rules
Payhip
AI disclosure: Not required in anything we found. Payhip's terms, its banned-products list and the staff replies we found don't mention disclosing AI.
- Payhip's Terms of Use (last updated 19 February 2018) and its banned-products help article (updated 26 July 2026) say nothing about AI-generated content.
- Content that infringes copyright isn't allowed, and you promise Payhip that your files don't infringe anyone's intellectual property.
- Payhip can remove a file it thinks infringes, or is likely to infringe, without notice. Selling banned content risks permanent deletion of your account.
- In replies on Payhip's blog (May 2024 to April 2026), Payhip staff said AI-generated products are allowed as long as they don't copy, reuse or infringe someone else's work. That's a staff reply, not a clause in the terms.
- By default, buyers get Payhip's end-user licence, which limits them to personal, non-commercial use.

- If an AI tool created the content, it's AI-generated even after substantial edits.
- AI-assisted content (you wrote or drew it; AI edited, refined or brainstormed) doesn't need disclosure.
- You're responsible for making sure AI content follows the guidelines, including intellectual property rights.
